Hood Lock Cable — Removal and Installation (Opel Vectra B)

Removal

1. Remove the lower instrument panel trim on the driver's side.

2. Remove the radiator grille.

3. Disconnect the front end of the cable from the hood latch spring.

4. Disconnect the rear end of the torso from the hood release lever.

5. Release the cable from the mounting brackets in the engine compartment. Tie a thin cord to the inner end of the cable and pull the hood release cable into the engine compartment. Untie the cord from the cable and leave it in the car.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the cable in place using a cord.
