Hood lock and lock drive cable (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Use a marker to mark the position of the hood lock.

Remove the 3 bolts (arrows) securing the hood lock.



Disconnect the hood lock drive cable from the hood lock and remove the lock.



Disconnect the cable from the hood release lever.



Using a screwdriver blade as a lever, release the clamps and remove the cable.



Remove the cable into the engine compartment.

Installation

Route the hood release cable through the hole in the engine compartment bulkhead.

Use clamps to secure the hood release cable to the engine compartment.

Connect the cable to the hood release lever.



Connect the hood lock actuator cable to the hood lock.



Install the bonnet lock and secure it with 3 bolts, tightening them to a torque of 10 Nm.
