Removal



Open the door and support it with stands or jacks, placing a clean rag between them and the door.

Disconnect the front door wire harness connector.

Remove the bolts securing the door opening limiter to the front pillar.

Use a marker to mark the position of the door hinges.

While an assistant supports the door, remove the door hinge bolts and remove the door from the vehicle.

Installation



Lubricate the top and bottom door hinges with general-purpose grease.

Install the door and secure the door hinges to the body with bolts. Adjust the door position and tighten the bolts to 37 Nm.

Install the door opening limiter and secure it with bolts.

Connect the front door wire harness connector.

Adjusting the door position



Check that the door closes easily and there is no play. If necessary, loosen the hinge bolts and adjust the door position by moving the door vertically or horizontally so that the gaps around the perimeter of the door correspond to the required values.
  • Gap between front door and front wing (A): 5.0±1.5 mm
  • Gap between front door and threshold (B): 5.5±2.0 mm
  • Gap between front door and roof (C): 8.0±1.8 mm
  • Gap between front and rear door (D): 6.0±1.5 mm
  • Gap between front and rear body panels (E): 5.0±1.5 mm
