            0

Contents: Back door ⬇ Loop ⬇ Support stand ⬇

Back door

Open the rear door fully.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Remove the screws and remove the rear door trim panels.

Disconnect all the wires that are now exposed for access, as well as, if necessary, the washer fluid supply hose.

If the same tailgate is being installed, tie up the ends of all the wires and, if necessary, the washer fluid supply hose, then feed them through the top of the door.

Have your assistant hold the door up. Now you can separate the tailgate support pillars from the ball joints as shown below.

Remove the clamps from the rear door hinge pins.

After carefully propping up the door, knock the hinge pins out of the hinges using a punch and carefully remove the door from the car.

When installing a new door, rearrange all usable parts (rubber stops, locking mechanism, etc.).

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.

If installing the same rear door, route all wires and the fluid supply hose to the washer (where required) through the door.

If necessary, adjust the rubber stops on the rear door so that it closes.

If necessary, adjust the position of the lock latch on the body so that the lock operates satisfactorily.

Loop

Remove the rear door as directed in this section.

Remove the rear roof trim panel, being careful to keep the clips intact, and pry the trim aside to access the rear door hinge screws.

Note the location of the hinges on the body.

Loosen the screws and remove the hinge.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.

Align the hinges according to the marks made earlier on the body.

Install the rear door as previously described.

Support stand

Open the rear door fully, asking an assistant to hold it.

Separate the strut from the ball joints by slightly prying the spring rings and pulling it out.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
