Hood lock lever
The hood lock lever is attached with rivets, and to remove it you need to drill them out.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, using a new rivet.
Lock latch
To remove the hood latch, loosen the lock nut, then unscrew the tab and remove the washer and spring.
Installation is the reverse of removal, but adjust the latch as shown in Fig. 11.2 before tightening the lock nut.

Latch spring
Disconnect the hood latch cable from the spring, then unhook the spring from the slot in the front body panel, being careful not to damage the painted surfaces.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
