Rear Door Support Pillar (Hatchback and Estate) — Removal and Installation (Opel Ascona C)

1. The end fastenings of the posts are of the ball type with retaining rings.

2. To remove them, open the rear door fully and have an assistant support its weight.

3. Remove the rings and disconnect the struts.

4. Installation is carried out by performing the above steps in reverse order.

5. The racks contain pressurized gas and should not be opened, disassembled, punctured or heated.
