Replacing the cable



1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair"),

2. For convenience, remove the battery (see "Battery - Removal and Installation").

3. Disconnect the cruise control unit drive cable from the throttle assembly (see "Throttle assembly - removal, gasket replacement and installation").

4. Turn the cable sheath retainer.

5. Remove the cable tip from the connector.

7. Install the parts in reverse order.



Removal and installation the unit



1. Remove the battery (see "Battery - Removal and Installation").

2. Press the lock and disconnect the cruise control unit wiring harness connector.

3. Using a TORX T30 key, unscrew the three bolts securing the cruise control unit and remove it.

6. Install the parts in reverse order.
