In vehicles for countries with cold climates, a thermal insulation cover is installed on the battery, which protects the battery from temperature changes, which increases its service life, and prevents the battery from cooling down quickly during parking in the cold season to facilitate engine starting.

Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for work and disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. In a similar manner, disconnect the wire terminal from the positive terminal of the battery, having first lifted its protective cover up.

3. Remove the thermal insulation cover of the battery by lifting it up.

4. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the battery pressure plate mounting bolt.

5. Remove the pressure plate.

6. Remove the battery from the car.
Installation
Install the battery in the reverse order. Before connecting, clean the battery terminals and clamps and apply a thin layer of conductive grease to them (see "Battery - Maintenance").
Warning! The battery terminals are made differently; the positive terminal diameter is larger. Reversing the polarity when connecting the battery will cause the vehicle's electronic equipment to fail.
To protect against environmental influences, we apply a protective varnish to the terminals with installed clamps.
