Warning! Before performing the operation, be sure to read the section «Safety measures for the maintenance and repair of the engine management system».
To do the job, you need a rubber pear.
Examination
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Remove the adsorber purge valve (see below).
3. Squeeze the rubber bulb and connect it to the valve fitting. The pear should remain compressed. Otherwise, the valve does not close properly and must be replaced.
4. We apply a voltage of 12 V to the valve terminals, it should open, and the pear will straighten out. Otherwise, the valve is defective and must be replaced.
Replacement
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. We bend the latch and disconnect the wiring harness block from the valve.
3. Disconnect two pipelines from the valve.
4. Remove the valve from the bracket by pulling it up.
5. Install the new valve and all removed parts in reverse order.
