Headlight Washer Parts — Removal and Installation (Opel Astra F)

Washer nozzles

Remove the radiator grille (see chapter 11). Unscrew the two screws and remove the injectors from the radiator grille.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

The spray nozzles can be adjusted by inserting a needle into the nozzle and turning it in the desired direction.

Liquid tank

The headlight washer fluid reservoir is located in the rear left corner of the engine compartment.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

In the engine compartment, unscrew the filler neck from the top of the reservoir.

Remove the wheel arch trim (see chapter 11).

Unscrew the three screws securing the reservoir and pull it out so that the pump plug and liquid supply hose are disconnected. Be careful, liquid may leak when disconnecting the hose.

Remove the reservoir from under the wheel arch.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Remove the pump, being careful not to let any fluid leak out.

Check the condition of the sealing bushing between the tank and the pump, replace it if necessary.
