Radio and cassette player — removal and installation (Opel Astra F)

All Astra models are equipped with radio/cassette players that have standard DIN-type mounts, the removal of which requires special tools, available from equipment retailers.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Remove the four countersunk screws from the corners of the radio/cassette player using a socket wrench.

Insert the countersunk screw removal tool and push them until they click into place, pull the tools towards you (from the dashboard), to disconnect this device.

Remove the device from the dashboard.

To install the radio/cassette player, simply push the unit into the dash until the tabs click into place. Then install the countersunk screws.
