Third-party radios usually have a different mounting method and are removed differently. To remove such radio tape recorders, use the instructions attached to the radio tape recorder.
Comment. The operation is shown on the Zafira model. On the Astra model, the operation is performed similarly.
Warning! Regular radios, as a rule, have a special code that must be entered when turned on, after disconnecting the power supply. Therefore, before proceeding with the removal of the radio, as well as before disconnecting the battery, you must make sure that you have this code (usually written in the service book). To decode the radio in the absence of a code, you must contact a specialized service center or a specialized workshop.
Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. With a 2 mm hex wrench, turn out four plugs.
3. We insert two brackets of hard wire or four suitable pins with a diameter of about 3 mm into the holes that appear and remove the radio.
4. If necessary, remove the installation frame with a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw of its fastening.
5. Press the side clips and remove the frame from the center console.
6. Disconnect the plugs of one...
...or two antenna cables (depending on radio) and remove the cables from the clamps on the frame.
7. Press the latches...
...and disconnect the wiring harness block.
Installation
We install the car radio in the reverse order and after turning it on, enter the code.
