Removing the instrument panel of the Astra model
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, pry off the plugs at the bottom of the instrument panel lining to the right and left of the steering column.
3. Using the TORX T20 wrench, turn out the top two...
...bottom left...
... and the lower right screws securing the instrument panel lining.
4. Pulling towards you, remove the instrument panel trim.
5. Using the TORX T20 key, we unscrew the two screws securing the instrument panel.
6. We release the upper clamp of the instrument panel, moving it from right to left, and thereby disconnect the wiring harness block.
7. Remove the instrument panel from the panel.
Removing the dashboard of the Zafira model
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Remove the car radio and its installation frame (see «Car radio - removal and installation»).
3. Pull down the center console trim (see «Zafira climate control unit - check and replace»).
4. Remove the control unit for external and internal lighting (see «External and internal lighting control unit - removal, replacement of the backlight and installation»).
5. Remove the fuse box cover (see «Mounting Blocks - Replacing Fuses and Relays»).
6. Lower the steering column as far down as possible and pull it towards you (see «Steering wheel and seat adjustment»).
7. Disconnect the steering column switches from the steering column (see «Paddle switches - check and replace»).
8. Pry off with a thin slotted screwdriver and remove the upper section of the left ventilation grille.
9. Using the TORX T20 key, we unscrew the nine screws securing the instrument panel lining: the upper left...
...two bottom left...
... two above the instrument panel...
...one above the multifunction display...
...one behind the central ventilation grille...
...lower right...
...and one to the right of the steering column.
10. We remove the left edge of the lining by pressing the latch outward...
... move down the block of the wiring harness of the lighting control unit.
11. We take the entire pad a little towards ourselves and disconnect the wiring harness block from the multifunction display from the inside.
12. Remove the trim assembly with the multifunction display.
13. Further removal of the instrument panel is similar to removal from the Astra model (see above).
Glass replacement
In case of damage (abrasions, cracks) The protective glass of the instrument glass can be replaced separately. To do this, press and remove from the holders in turn nine clamps of the protective glass and remove it.
Installation
Install the parts in reverse order.
