Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the steering column trim (see "Steering column trim - removal and installation").
3. Press down the steering column cover, squeeze the two clamps and remove the switch from the connector.

4. Press the two clamps...

...and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the switch.

Note: On vehicles equipped with cruise control, it is also necessary to disconnect the additional connector of the wiring harness.
5. Remove the right steering column switch in the same way.
Examination
Checking the steering column switches involves checking the correctness of the contact closure in different switch positions. The switches are not repairable, so if they are faulty, they must be replaced.

Installation
We install the steering column switches in the reverse order.
