Electric window control unit — check and replacement (Opel Zafira A)

Depending on the configuration, the control unit may contain buttons for controlling only the front or all four electric windows.

To complete the work you will need a multimeter.

Removal

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, pry up the control unit and remove it from the inner door handle.

We disconnect the wiring harness connector and remove the electric window control unit.

Examination

We check the correctness of the contact closure in various positions of the electric window control keys. If one of the keys is faulty, the entire unit must be replaced.
