External and internal lighting control unit — removal, replacement of backlight lamp and installation (Opel Zafira A)

The control unit is a non-separable unit, therefore, if any of the elements fails, the unit is replaced as a whole.

Removal

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Pull the outdoor lighting switch towards you (turn on the interior lighting), press the lock through the hole and remove the switch handle by pulling it towards you.



3. Using a 2 mm Allen key or any other thin object, pry up the retainer...



... we turn the key and press it, fix it in this position by inserting the key a little deeper.



4. Similarly, press the second lock and remove the block.

Replacing the lamp

1. Using a slotted screwdriver, turn the lamp holder counterclockwise and remove the lamp assembly with the holder from the unit.



2. Install the new lamp in reverse order.

Installation

We install the parts in the reverse order.
