To complete the work you will need a multimeter.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the battery shelf (see "Powertrain Mounts - Replacement").
3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.

4. Using a 19 mm socket head, unscrew the reversing light switch from the gearbox housing and remove it.

Examination
Connect the multimeter in ohmmeter mode to the switch terminals. The resistance value should tend to infinity (the circuit is open)When pressing the switch rod, the resistance value should be minimal (the circuit is closed). Otherwise, the switch must be replaced.

Installation
We install the reversing light switch in the reverse order. The connection of the switch to the gearbox housing is sealed with an aluminum ring. A tightly compressed ring should be replaced with a new one.
