Warning! The driver's door open sensor is not interchangeable with the passenger door open sensors, as it has two terminals, while the passenger door open sensors have one terminal.
Note: When removing and installing the door open sensor, it is not necessary to disconnect the battery, since when the switch wire is shorted to ground, only the interior light and the side door open indicator light will light.
To complete the work you will need a multimeter.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the sensor mounting screw.

3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor and remove it.

Examination
We check the open door sensor for contact closure: when the button is pressed, the circuit should be open, and when released, it should be closed.
Installation
We install the open door sensor in the reverse order.
