Low Brake Fluid Sensor — Checking and Replacing (Opel Zafira A)

To complete the work you will need a multimeter and a magnet.

Sequence of execution



1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.

3. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, squeeze the sensor clamps (shown on a removed tank).

4. Remove the sensor from the tank body.

5. To check the sensor, connect the multimeter in the continuity mode to the sensor terminals. The circuit should be open.



6. Bring a magnet to the sensor, the circuit should close. Otherwise, the sensor is faulty and must be replaced.

7. Install the brake fluid low level sensor in the reverse order.
