On models from 09.1996, issue. an electronic speedometer with a speed sensor is installed. The shaft of a speedometer on these models is absent.
1. Turn out screws of fastening and remove overlays of a steering column. To remove screws (2) on the front side, turn the steering wheel 90 degrees. The instrument cluster can be removed without removing the steering wheel.

2. Remove the rubber cover of the ignition switch.
3. Turn out screws of fastening and remove the protective panel of a combination of devices (refer to accompanying illustration).
4. Disconnect the speedometer shaft from the manual transmission. Remove the speedometer shaft rubber seal from the bulkhead of the engine compartment.

5. Turn out screws of fastening of a combination of devices (down arrow). Carefully pry out the retaining clips with a small screwdriver (arrow above) and remove the instrument cluster from the instrument panel. At the same time, make sure that the speedometer shaft remains movable. If necessary, ask an assistant to move the shaft into the passenger compartment.

6. On models until 08.1996 release Disconnect the speedometer shaft at the rear from the instrument cluster. To do this, press the spring stopper with your finger and separate the shaft from the speedometer.

7. Separate a socket of electroconducting.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
