Anti-theft device
Models up to 12.1994 release
The electronic anti-theft device is activated when the vehicle is locked with the key or remote switch.
The device prevents the engine from starting unless the system is deactivated by a remote switch that has the appropriate coding.
Since there is no other way to turn off the anti-theft device, you must always carry spare batteries for the infrared transmitter. Batteries should be changed once a year.
If it is impossible to start the engine because the anti-theft device is not deactivated by the infrared transmitter, open the single lock with the key. After 30 minutes, the control unit will supply power to the e / motor.
Models since 09.1994 release
On some models from 09.1994 and on all models from 01.1995, an electronic anti-theft device with transponder control is installed. The device is activated when the key is removed from the ignition switch. The device prevents the engine from starting unless the system is deactivated with an appropriately coded ignition key. The remote control serves only to actuate a single lock.
When the ignition is turned on, the transmitter (transponder), located in the head of the key, reports the identification code to the control unit of the anti-theft device. The control unit is located next to the ignition switch. The transmitter in the key head does not require a battery as it electricity comes directly from the control unit. The sign of transponder control is the point «•» (on early models - a letter «IN») on the ignition switch.
If the engine cranks, but does not start, and the malfunction indicator light flashes on the instrument panel (MIL), then the system is activated and the receiver in the ignition lock did not recognize the key code. The reasons for this may be a violation of the code reading process due to the presence of an additional key in the keychain, or damage to the key code.
Anti-theft alarm system
The anti-theft alarm system monitors all doors, as well as the interior for unauthorized entry into the car. Additionally, the system controls the removal of the radio receiver and engine start.
Components of the anti-theft alarm system
1 - Siren of the anti-theft alarm system
2 - Fuel pump relay
3 - Control unit for the anti-theft alarm system
4 - LCD display integrated into the alarm switch
5 - Ignition lock
6 - Glass breakage sensor
7 — The switch of a door of a back
8 — Contact of a door of a back
9 - Door lock
10 - Starter relay
11 - Door contact switch
12 - Hood contact switch
13 - Radio contact switch
The system is activated by locking the driver's door with the key or infrared remote control. Deactivation can also take place from the front passenger door.
The doors and trunk lid are controlled by the single lock control unit and the corresponding door contacts. Even a slight lift of the bonnet is enough for the auxiliary bonnet contact to send a message to the anti-theft alarm system control unit. An ultrasonic microphone is used to control the destruction of glass, which is installed in the interior lighting dome.
