Installing a radio receiver (Opel Corsa B)

1. Before installation, check the operation of the radio receiver.

2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

3. Remove the radio receiver shaft plug.

4. Connect the radio receiver.

Opel supplies a special wiring kit for installing the radio, which contains ground wires, a positive wire, and speaker wiring with connectors. If the special wiring kit is not used, make sure that there are no exposed wires nearby. A short circuit could cause the cable to catch fire.

5. Connect the adapter cable or radio connectors to the radio receiver connector.

6. Secure the ground wire to the steering column holder.

7. If there is no radio wire kit, remove the fuse box under the left side of the instrument panel, connect the continuous load current wire (terminal 30) to the output of fuse No.1, the ignition off current wire (terminal 15) to the output of fuse No.17, the radio backlight wire (terminal 58) to the output of fuse No.23. Secure the ground wire from the steering column holder to the radio.

8. Run the wire from the radio to the antenna or its amplifier and connect it.



9. Install the radio holder frame.

10. Slide the radio into the holder.

11. Connect the negative cable to the battery.

Connect the negative cable only with the ignition off to avoid damaging the ECM.

12. Set the clock.

13. Enter the radio code.

14. Ensure the radio receiver is protected against interference in accordance with its installation instructions.
