2. Mark the position of the windshield wiper rods and crank relative to the electric motor axis with a felt-tip pen.
3. Disconnect the drive mechanism from the electric motor.

4. Disconnect the connector (1).

5. Loosen the windshield wiper rod fasteners and remove the electric motor. Replace damaged parts.
6. If a new electric motor is being installed, set it to the parking position by connecting the connector and starting the electric motor. Then stop it with the wiper switch and let it come to the end position.
7. Install all removed components.
