Installing the cylinder head cover (Opel Insignia A)

1. Install new bushings and cylinder head cover bolts.

2. Install a new gasket on the cylinder head cover (1). Make sure that the gasket is inserted into the corresponding groove in the cylinder head cover.



3. Install the cover on the cylinder head and tighten the bolts by hand.

4. Install the ignition coils. Tighten the ignition coil mounting bolts to 10 Nm.



5. Tighten the cylinder head cover mounting bolts to 10 Nm.

6. Install the electromagnetic valves of the camshaft phase shifters.

Note. Phase shifter solenoid valves have labels for intake (intake) and exhaust (exhaust).

7. Install the bolts of the electromagnetic valves of the phase shifters and tighten to a torque of 10 Nm.

8. Install the camshaft housing insulator cover (1) and tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 10 Nm.





9. Install the front rigging eye (1) and tighten the mounting bolts to 25 Nm.



10. Install a new O-ring on the brake booster pump.

11. Install the brake booster pump.

Note: Make sure the exhaust camshaft is aligned with the booster pump.

12. Install the brake booster pump bolts and tighten to 22 Nm.



13. Install the rear rigging eye and tighten the mounting bolts to 25 Nm.
