Cylinder head cover — removal and installation (Opel Vectra B)

Removal

1. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the large crankcase ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover



2. Remove the small crankcase ventilation hose.



3. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the cylinder head cover.

Installation

1. Clean the inner surface of the cylinder head from oil deposits. Check the condition of the oil separator filter in the cover and, if it is dirty, unscrew the bolts, remove it and wash it.

2. Check that the sealing gasket (arrow) is positioned in the grooves of the cover and install the cover on the engine.



3. Secure the cover with bolts, tightening them to the required torque, and tightening them in a diagonal sequence. When installing the bolts, place the high-voltage wire fastening brackets (arrows) under them.

4. Connect the crankcase ventilation hoses.
