Replacing the camshaft sealing ring (Opel Vectra B)

1. Remove the camshaft pulley.



2. Drill two holes in the sealing ring on both sides. Screw self-tapping screws into the holes and use pliers to pull the ring out by the screw heads.

3. Clean the sealing ring seat.



4. Lubricate the working lips of the new sealing ring with clean engine oil and install the ring in place using a suitable tubular mandrel. When installing the ring, pay attention to the correct positioning of the working lips, which should be directed inward.

5. Install the camshaft pulley.
