Removing
1. Remove the toothed belt.
2. Remove the camshaft, crankshaft timing belt pulley and timing belt tensioner.
3. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a back casing of a gear belt from the case of a camshaft and the oil pump.
4. Remove the oil pan and oil receiver pipe with strainer.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor.
6. Remove the crankshaft position sensor mounting bolt and move the sensor to the side.
7. Remove the bolts and remove the oil pump assembly from the end of the crankshaft. Remove the gasket.
Repair
Pressure relief valve
1. Plunger
2. Spring
3. Washer
4. Bolt
1. Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the oil pump cover.
2. Using a marker, mark the location of the oil pump's inner and outer rotors.
3. Remove the inner and outer oil pump rotors from the pump housing.
4. Unscrew the pressure relief valve bolt from the front of the oil pump housing and remove the spring and plunger from the housing (see fig. Pressure relief valve).
5. Clean all parts of the oil pump and check their condition.
6. Using a feeler gauge blade, measure the clearance between the oil pump inner and outer rotor.
7. Using a metal ruler, check the end clearance between the oil pump housing and the rotors.
8. The pump is assembled in the reverse order of disassembly, taking into account the following points:
- check that the rotors are installed in accordance with the previously made marks;
- install a new washer under the safety valve mounting bolt;
- on the threads of the screws securing the oil pump cover, apply an agent that prevents them from unscrewing;
- by rotating the inner rotor of the oil pump, fill the pump with oil.
Installation
1. Using a screwdriver as leverage, remove the crankshaft oil seal and install a new seal. Lubricate the sealing lips of the new O-ring with clean engine oil.
2. Check that the mating surfaces of the oil pump and cylinder block are clean and dry and that the guide bushings are installed in the cylinder block.
3. Install a new oil pump gasket to the cylinder block.
4. Install the oil pump on the crankshaft so that the inner rotor of the pump is clearly fixed on the crankshaft. Install the oil pump housing onto the guide bushings. When installing the oil pump, care must be taken not to damage the O-ring on the crankshaft lug (1) and align the inner rotor of the pump with the edges of the crankshaft (2).
5. Install and torque tighten the oil pump mounting bolts.
6. Install the crankshaft position sensor to the oil pump housing. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
7. Attach the oil receiver pipe to the oil pump using a new O-ring.
8. Establish a back casing of a gear belt.
9. Install the toothed belt pulley, tensioner and toothed belt.
10. Fill the engine with clean oil.
