1. Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the oil pump cover.
2. Using a marker, mark the location of the inner and outer rotors of the oil pump.

3. Remove the oil pump inner and outer rotors from the pump housing.
4. Unscrew the pressure relief valve bolt from the front of the oil pump housing and remove the spring and plunger from the housing (see Fig. Pressure relief valve).
5. Clean all oil pump parts and check their condition.

6. Using a feeler gauge blade, measure the clearance between the inner and outer rotors of the oil pump.

7. Using a metal ruler, check the axial clearance between the oil pump housing and the rotors.
8. The pump is assembled in the reverse order of disassembly, taking into account the following points:
- check that the rotors are installed in accordance with the previously made marks;
- install a new washer under the safety valve mounting bolt;
- apply a product to the threads of the oil pump cover mounting screws to prevent them from loosening;
- by rotating the inner rotor of the oil pump, fill the pump with oil.
Installation

1. Using a screwdriver as a lever, remove the crankshaft oil seal ring and install a new seal ring. Lubricate the working lips of the new seal ring with clean engine oil.
2. Check that the mating surfaces of the oil pump and cylinder block are clean and dry and that the guide bushings are installed in the cylinder block.
3. Install a new oil pump gasket to the cylinder block.

4. Install the oil pump on the crankshaft so that the inner rotor of the pump is firmly fixed on the crankshaft. Install the oil pump housing on the guide bushings. When installing the oil pump, be careful not to damage the sealing ring on the crankshaft projection (1) and to align the inner rotor of the pump with the crankshaft faces (2).
5. Install and tighten the oil pump mounting bolts to the specified torque.
6. Install the crankshaft position sensor to the oil pump housing. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
7. Attach the oil pickup pipe to the oil pump using a new O-ring.
8. Install the rear timing belt cover.
9. Install the timing belt pulley, tensioner and timing belt.
10. Fill the engine with clean oil.
