Control Bracket Bushings — Replacement (Opel Ascona C)

1. It is best to remove flexible bushings and install new ones using a press. However, using a bolt with suitable gaskets and washers when removing and installing the bushings will give the same result.

2. It is necessary to remove the control bracket as indicated in previous Section.

3. Before installation, rinse new bushings in soapy water used as a liquid lubricant. Make sure that the flange on each end of the flexible sleeve protrudes from the control bracket housing the same distance. Please note that the bushings are not identical; the one that includes the inner spacer sleeve must be installed on the front of the control bracket.
