Removing
1.6L engines
Top casing
1. Remove the air filter cover.
2. Unscrew the screws securing the upper casing of the toothed belt to the rear casing and remove it from the engine compartment.
3. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Bottom casing
4. Remove the top cover.
5. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
6. Unscrew the bolts securing the lower casing to the rear casing and remove it from the vehicle (in the photo on the left - the upper mounting bolt of the lower casing, on the right - the lower mounting bolt).
7. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Rear cover
8. Remove the toothed belt.
9. Remove the camshaft pulleys, crankshaft pulley, toothed belt tensioner and rear idler pulley.
10. Unscrew the fastening bolts (indicated by arrows) and remove the rear toothed belt cover.
11. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Engines 1.8 and 2.0 l
Outer casing
12. Remove the air filter cover.
13. Remove the auxiliary drive belt
14. Unscrew the bolts securing the torque compensator rod to the engine bracket and remove it from the right end of the engine.
15. Unscrew fastening bolts, remove rubber laying under bolts and remove an external casing of a gear belt.
16. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
17. Install the seal on the outer casing of the toothed belt.
Rear cover
18. Remove the toothed belt.
19. Remove the camshaft pulleys, crankshaft pulley, toothed belt tensioner and idler pulley.
20. Remove the camshaft sensor mounting bolt.
21. Unscrew bolts of fastening of draft of the torque compensator from an end face of a head of the block of cylinders.
22. Unscrew bolts and remove a back casing of a gear belt.
23. Unscrew bolts and remove a back casing of a gear belt.
