Replacing camshaft oil seal rings (Opel Vectra B)

1. Remove the appropriate camshaft pulley.

2. Drill two small holes in the ends of the sealing ring, screw in two self-tapping screws and use pliers to pull the sealing ring out of the socket by the screw heads.

3. Clean the O-ring seat and the sealing surface of the camshaft.



4. Lubricate the lips of the new sealing ring with clean engine oil and use a tubular mandrel to install the ring in place.

5. Install the camshaft pulley.
