1. Plunger
2. Spring
3. Washer
4. Bolt
Removal
1. Remove the timing belt.
2. Remove the rear timing belt cover.
3. Remove the oil pan and oil pickup pipe with mesh filter.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor.
5. On 1.6L engines, unscrew the crankshaft sensor hanger mounting bolt and move it away from the oil pump.
6. Remove the bolts and the oil pump from the end of the crankshaft. Remove the oil pump gasket.
Repair

1. Unscrew the screws and remove the oil pump cover.
2. Using a marker, mark the relative positions of the inner and outer rotors of the oil pump.

3. Remove the inner and outer rotor of the oil pump from the housing.
4. Unscrew the bolt securing the safety valve to the pump body and remove the spring and plunger from the body.
5. Thoroughly clean all parts of the oil pump and check their condition. If there is wear on the rotor or body of the oil pump, the pump must be replaced as an assembly.

6. Check the gap between the inner and outer rotor teeth. Using a metal ruler, check the axial clearance of the oil pump rotors.

7. Measure the axial clearance of the oil pump rotors.
8. The pump is assembled in the reverse order of disassembly, taking into account the following points:
Original source is on the website OPELBOOK.ru
- install the rotors into the pump according to the previously applied marks;
- install a new sealing ring on the pressure relief valve mounting bolt;
- tighten the pump cover mounting screws to the required torque;
- while rotating the inner rotor, fill the pump with clean engine oil.
Installation

1. Remove the crankshaft seal ring from the oil pump housing. Using a tubular drift, install a new crankshaft seal ring. Lubricate the sealing lips of the seal ring with clean engine oil.
2. Check that the mating surfaces of the oil pump and cylinder block are clean and dry and that the guide pins are in the engine block.
3. Install a new gasket on the engine block.

4. Install the oil pump onto the crankshaft, aligning the inner rotor with the crankshaft faces (2). Do not damage the sealing ring on the end of the crankshaft (1).
5. Secure the oil pump with bolts, tightening them to the required torque.
6. On 1.6L engines, attach the crankshaft sensor to the oil pump housing.
7. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
8. Install the oil pickup pipe with mesh filter and oil pan.
9. Install the rear timing belt guard.
10. Install the timing belt pulleys, idler pulleys and tensioner. Install the timing belt.
11. Install a new oil filter and fill the engine with engine oil.
