Multec injection system (Opel Vectra A)

            0

The Multec system is a central fuel injection system. It is equipped with C16NZ and E16NZ engines. In this system, ignition and fuel injection are controlled by a single computer.

The Multec system has only one electromagnetically controlled injector, located above the throttle valve. The moment of opening and closing of the injector is determined by the computer. The computer receives information about the engine operating parameters from the corresponding sensors.

The system computer has a fault detection program that identifies faults that occur during engine operation and records them in memory.

Attention! If the battery is disconnected from the vehicle's electrical system for more than 10 seconds, the fault codes in the computer's memory are erased. If the fault is not confirmed after 20 subsequent engine starts, the record of it is erased from the computer's memory.

Fuel is supplied to the system by an electric pump located in the fuel tank. The pump creates a pressure of about 0.76 bar.
