Removal and installation the activated carbon filter (Opel Vectra A)

The activated carbon filter is located in the area of the right wheel. The filter accumulates gasoline vapors coming out of the fuel system when the engine is not running. After the engine is started, the vapors accumulated in the filter enter the engine cylinders and are burned.

Removal

Remove the protective lining.



Disconnect the hoses from the filter.

Unscrew the nut and remove the filter.

Installation

Install the filter and tighten its mounting nut to 4 Nm.

Connect the hoses to the filter. Check that they are securely fastened.

Install protective cladding.
