Contents: Checking the calibration pressure ⬇ Adjustment ⬇

Checking the calibration pressure

1. Calibration pressure testing cannot be performed on a turbocharger installed on an engine. To perform this procedure it must be removed.

2. Install the magnetic holder with the dial indicator onto the end of the boost pressure control valve stem. Create a negative pressure on the turbocharging pressure control valve using pump Mot. 1014 (figure 4.56).

Adjustment

3. Loosen nut 2 (figure 4.57). Make adjustments using the knob 3, tightening or loosening it by half a turn until the calibration pressure is reached. Tightening the knob increases the calibration pressure, loosening it decreases it.
