Sedan and hatchback models
Removing
Two valves are installed: one for each hydraulic circuit - they are located at the rear under the car (pic. 9.30.).
Place chocks under the front wheels, raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it to stands under the axle.
Working under the hood, remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and secure a piece of polyethylene to the filler neck with rubber band or cap. This will reduce fluid loss during operation.
Working under the rear of the car, unscrew the nut and disconnect the brake pipe from one of the valves. Possible leakage of liquid, so you need to close the end of the tube.
Disconnect the flexible hose from the valve.
Remove the valve spring clip from the bracket on the underbody, paying attention to that on some models it also secures the ABS sensor wire. Remove the valve.
Repeat the same operations with the other valve.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, however, remove the plastic film from the reservoir neck and completely drain the fluid from the hydraulic system, as indicated in the second section.
Adjustment
The valves are factory calibrated and cannot be adjusted.
Station wagon and van models
Removing
Use one twin valve which is located under the rear of the vehicle above the rear suspension torsion bar.
Further, the order of work is as indicated in the second and third paragraphs.
Detach the spring from the valve lever.
Unscrew nuts and disconnect brake pipes from the valve. Fluid may leak, so close the ends of the tubes.
Remove the two screws and the valve from the bracket located on the bottom of the body.
If the valve needs to be replaced, remove the protective screen from the old valve and install it on the new one.
Installation
Install the valve to the bracket on the underside of the body and tighten the two bolts.
Connect the two brake pipes to the valve and tighten the nuts. Paying attention to the fact that the two nuts differ in size; in addition, try not to overtighten the nuts.
Connect the spring to the valve lever.
Install the wheels and lower the vehicle to the ground.
Drain the hydraulic system completely as directed in the second section.
