Removal
Disconnect the charge air intercooler hose from the upper section of the intake manifold and move it to the side.
Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.
Remove the lower engine compartment protection.
Disconnect the cooling system hoses from the heat exchanger.
Remove the bolts and remove the heat exchanger from the oil filter housing from the bottom of the vehicle.

Remove the bolts and remove the oil filter housing from the cylinder block from the bottom of the vehicle.
Installation
Clean the mating surfaces from any remaining gasket material.
Install the oil filter housing with a new gasket (2) on the cylinder block and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 20 Nm.

Install the heat exchanger with a new gasket (1) on the oil filter housing and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 20 Nm.

Connect the cooling system hoses to the heat exchanger.
Connect the charge air intercooler hose to the upper section of the intake manifold.

Check the engine oil level and top up if necessary.
Fill the engine cooling system with coolant, bleed the cooling system and check the cooling system for leaks (see the relevant chapter).
