Attention: The cars considered in the present Management are equipped with system of additional safety of SRS. Before doing any work near the cushion or steering column assembly, be sure to turn off the system to avoid injury from accidental operation (see chapter 12).
Caution: The air conditioning system is constantly under high pressure! When performing work, the input of which may damage the refrigeration lines, discharge the A / V system - contact the Opel service station! Observe safety measures when servicing the A/C system (see section 1)!
Attention: When servicing and performing work on the elements of the cooling system, observe safety precautions (see section 2)!
Attention: Before proceeding with the procedure, wait until the engine has completely cooled down!
Removing
1. Empty the cooling system (see Section 3).
2. In the engine compartment, disconnect the drain tube (see resist. illustration) condensate drain and heater hoses from the heat exchanger nozzles - pre-mark the hoses to ensure their correct connection during assembly.
Note: Branded hoses are equipped with quick connect connectors.
3. Remove the center console (see chapter 11). On vehicles equipped with the A/C system, disconnect the air supply hose to the rear foot wells (see resist. illustration). Turn out 2 fixing bolts and remove the right arm of fastening of the central console.
4. Turn out 8 bolts of fastening of a cover of the heat exchanger of a heater (see resist. illustration), remove the cover and remove the heater.
Installation
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order to the dismantling of the components. When installing the heat exchanger, use the help of an assistant.
