Removal and installation an additional electric heater (diesel models) (Opel Astra H)

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal (see Chapter 5).

2. Remove the center console (see Chapter 11).

3. Unscrew the 2 mounting bolts and remove the instrument panel mounting bracket (see accompanying illustration), disconnect the electrical wiring connector and remove the cover of the heating element contact block.



4. Loosen the mounting nuts (see accompanying illustration) and disconnect the current-supply wires first from the negative and then the positive terminals of the heater.



5. Remove the 2 mounting bolts (see illustration 5.4) and carefully remove the heater towards the front passenger footwell.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

7. It is necessary to additionally remove the side decorative panel of the central console from the side of the front passenger footwell (see Chapter 11), and then carefully pull the heater to the right.
