Additional electric cooling pump on 1.7 l diesel engines (Opel Vectra B)

The auxiliary cooling pump is supplied with voltage via the ignition switch, relay and fuse.

Examination

If the pump does not work, disconnect the wires from it and check that it is receiving voltage. If there is no voltage, the wires may be damaged or the fuse may have blown. The electric motor can be checked by applying voltage to it with additional wires from the battery.

Removal

1. Remove the radiator fan assembly.

2. Disconnect the hoses and remove the pump from the radiator fan assembly.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
