Removal and installation air duct deflectors (Opel Astra H)

Side deflectors

1. Carefully pry with a plastic wedge (for example HAZET 1965-20) or other suitable tool, remove the deflector from the instrument panel (see accompanying illustration).



2. To install the deflector, insert it into the instrument panel and, pressing it gently, snap the clips into place.

Central deflectors

3. Remove the instrument panel console section trim together with the deflectors (see Chapter 11).

4. Press the six fasteners on the back of the trim (see accompanying illustration) and remove the deflectors.



5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

6. To remove the right side deflector, first remove the glove compartment and the decorative panel underneath it (see Chapter 11).

7. To remove the left side deflector, first remove the exterior lighting switch panel to the left of the steering column (see Chapter 12).

8. Press the 2 latches from the bottom and push the deflector out of the instrument panel upwards (see accompanying illustration).



9. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Insert the deflector into the mounting socket and, carefully pressing, snap the clamps into place.

Upper central deflectors

10. Remove the instrument panel console section trim together with the deflectors (see Chapter 11) and remove the deflectors from the trim in an upward direction.

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Lower central deflectors

12. Remove the instrument panel console section trim together with the deflectors (see Chapter 11).

13. Press the 4 fasteners and release the deflectors from the trim (see accompanying illustration).



14. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
