Removal and installation the console section trim of the instrument panel (Opel Astra H)

Astra Models

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5).

2. Remove the infotainment system (see Chapter 12).

3. Remove the HVAC control panel (see Chapter 3).

4. Remove the 2 mounting screws and separate the trim from the instrument panel (see accompanying illustration). Disconnect the electrical wiring connector from the back of the trim and separate it from the switch panel.



5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Zafira Models

6. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5).

7. Carefully use a plastic wedge to separate the upper trim panel of the instrument panel console section (see accompanying illustration).



8. If equipped, disconnect the sun sensor wiring connector from the back of the trim panel - the sensor is located in the speaker cover.

Note: The speaker cover is installed in the upper trim, the speaker itself is fixed to the instrument panel.

9. Remove the infotainment system (see Chapter 12).

10. Remove the HVAC control panel (see Chapter 3).

11. Remove the 4 mounting screws (see accompanying illustration) and remove the lower trim with air deflectors from the instrument panel. Disconnect the electrical wiring connector from the back of the trim.



12. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
