Removal and installation the instrument panel trim section under the steering column (Opel Astra H)

Astra Models

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5).

2. Remove the lower steering column cover (see Section 33).

3. Remove the exterior lighting/instrument panel light switch panel (see Chapter 12).

4. Remove the 4 mounting screws at the top of the trim panel (see accompanying illustration) and, pulling the top edge, remove the panel from the lower holders.



5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Zafira Models

6. Open the front door. Using a plastic wedge, press the 2 clips and remove the left side trim section from the instrument panel.

7. Remove the left lower decorative cover of the instrument panel (see Section 34).

8. Remove 6 mounting screws (see accompanying illustration), slightly push the lower steering column cover to the side and remove the trim panel.



9. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
