Note: On these models, the A-pillar trim and tailgate sills are removed in the same way as on Hatchback models (see Section 44).
Attention: When performing work near the elements of the additional security system (SRS) be careful and take appropriate safety precautions (see chapter «Controls and methods of operation», Sections 13 and 16)!
Attention: When connecting the battery, no one should be in the car!
B-pillar upper trim
1. Disconnect the wires and insulate the battery terminals (see chapter 5).
2. Pry off the upper seat belt anchor cover (see resist. illustration) and flip it up. Loosen the fixing screw and remove the seat belt from the C-pillar.
3. Using a screwdriver, pry off the B-pillar top trim service cover and gently pry it off by gradually moving the screwdriver along the perimeter of the cover (see relevant subsection Section 43). Enter the plastic wedge under the trim and wring out 2 latches, remove the trim from the rack by pulling it up.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal, making sure that the inner edge of the seal is on top of the trim. Check that the webbing of the belt is not twisted and that it can be wound freely by the drum. Check belt function (see chapter «Controls and methods of operation»).
C-pillar upper trim
5. Disconnect the wires and insulate the battery terminals (see chapter 5).
6. Open the tailgate.
7. Remove the upper seat belt anchor cover (see resist. illustration), remove the fixing screw and remove the belt from the C-pillar.
8. Press 3 latches (see illustration 46.7) and remove the trim from the rack.
9. Install in the reverse order of removal, making sure that the inner edge of the seal is on top of the trim. Check that the webbing of the belt is not twisted and that it can be wound freely by the drum. Check belt function (see chapter «Controls and methods of operation»).
Rear side trim
10. Remove tailgate sill trim (see Section 43).
11. Open the tailgate and remove the luggage compartment shelf.
12. Remove the floor cover of the luggage compartment, remove the ball joint of the tow hitch, tilt the back of the rear seat forward and remove the luggage box.
13. Remove the rear bench seat together with the seat back (see Section 49).
14. Remove the top section of finishing of a rack In (see above).
15. Turn out the screw of fastening of the bottom guide of a seat belt (see resist. illustration) and disconnect the bracket together with the belt. Remove the guide bracket bushing from the side trim.
16. Remove the plug (see illustration 46.15) side trim and unscrew the fixing screw under it. Turn out the remaining 2 fixing screws, wring out 8 clamps and remove the side trim.
17. Install in the reverse order of removal, making sure that the inner edge of the seal is on top of the trim. Check belt function (see chapter «Controls and methods of operation»).
Side trim luggage compartment
18. Remove the rear side trim (see above).
19. Remove tailgate sill trim (see Section 44).
20. Remove the C-pillar trim (see above).
21. Remove the 3 top fixing screws (see resist. illustration), use a plastic wedge to release the 2 tabs and separate the side trim from the tailgate frame.
22. Disconnect the connector (see illustration 46.21) luggage compartment light wiring harness on the back of the trim and remove the trim panel.
23. Installation is in the reverse order of removal, while making sure that the inner edge of the seal is on top of the trim.
Interior trim thresholds
24. Open the front doors and tailgate and remove the door seals (see Section 37).
25. Using a plastic wedge, squeeze out 5 latches and remove the threshold trim from the doorway frame (see resist. illustration).
26. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. Before installing, check the condition of the clips and the correctness of their pairing with the trim of the thresholds, replace if necessary.
Attention: Check the wiring - the wires laid along the doorway must not be pinched!
Make sure that the inner edge of the seal is on top of the trim.
