7. All models since 1986 have an additional black wire in the wiring harness leading to the warning indicator.
8. This wire should only be used for the new type of warning indicator that operates only when the ignition is off, and should not be used for any other type of indicator.
9. When replacing the warning indicator, be very careful about the connections and wire colors to ensure proper connection. Low/high beam headlights - modification since October 1986
10. To prevent the possibility of driving with only the side lights on, and to comply with legal requirements regarding the use of lighting, all vehicles in the United Kingdom manufactured after this date are equipped with a dimming system in the headlight circuit. The function of this system is to ensure that the vehicle cannot be driven when only the side lights are on.
11. The system includes a dimming control device, which reduces the voltage supplied to the headlights. This system is designed solely as a safety system and the normal legal requirements regarding vehicle lighting are still valid and must be observed.
12. This control system can be accessed by removing the flexible decorative panel located under the front panel on the passenger side. After the decorative panel is removed, the control device will become visible, which is bolted to the side surface of the body panel.
