Sunroof (Sliding/Tilting Type) — Operation and Maintenance (Opel Ascona C)

1. Sliding/tilting glass panel can be installed on most models as an optional extra. This panel is controlled by a crank handle. After pressing the release button, turning the handle counterclockwise will open the hatch. Turning the handle clockwise after the hatch is completely closed will cause the rear of the hatch cover to rise - at an angle - to provide ventilation.

2. A ventilation panel known as a sun visor can be installed. It should only be installed with the hatch closed or open at the rear.

3. Maintenance involves regularly checking that the drain hoses are not clogged at their lower ends (see Figure 11.69), see photo 48.3.

4. No need for lubrication or any other regular maintenance.
