Attention: Do not allow dirt to enter the pump and fuel lines!
Z17DT engine (H/L)
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see chapter 5).
2. Remove the toothed belt (see chapter 2) and pump drive gear using special tools (see resist. illustration).
3. Disconnect the fuel pipes from the injection pump assembly (see resist. illustration).
4. Disconnect the high pressure fuel pump wiring connector, and unscrew the upper fixing bolt (see resist. illustration), then raise the car on a lift, remove the 2 bolts and remove the injection pump from the engine.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Engine Z19DTH
6. The procedure for removing the injection pump is carried out similarly to the same procedure for Z17DT engines (H/L).
7. Features are the need to disconnect the supply lines from the fuel pressure pulsation damper before removing the pump (see illustration 18.7a) and remove it, as well as using a special puller to remove the gear wheel of the injection pump drive (see illustration 18.7b).
Z13DTH engine
8. On this engine, the injection pump is mounted on the top of the engine on the timing side, next to the vacuum pump, and is driven by the intake camshaft.
9. To remove it, it is necessary to disconnect all elements blocking access to the injection pump and all supply lines, remove the vacuum pump and then remove the injection pump.
10. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. It is necessary that when installing the injection pump, the adaptive plate (see resist. illustration) its drive got into the groove of the camshaft.
