Note: On these engine models, the water pump is driven by a toothed belt.
2. Drain the coolant (see Section 3).
3. Remove the toothed belt and tension roller (see chapter 2).
4. Turn out 3 fixing bolts and take the water pump (see resist. illustration).

5. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder block and pump, lightly lubricate the mating surface on the cylinder block and the pump housing O-ring with silicone grease (For example, OPEL 19 70206 white color).
Note: O-ring must be replaced without fail (see resist. illustration).

6. When installing, make sure that the oil pump lug enters the water pump groove (see illustration 8.4) and tighten the pump mounting bolts to the required torque.
Features of the Z19DT engine
7. On these engines, to remove the water pump, you must additionally remove the gear and camshaft sensor (see chapter 2).
Features of the Z19DTH engine
8. Remove the toothed belt and tension roller (see chapter 2).
9. Turn out bolts of fastening and take the water pump (see resist. illustration).

10.. When installing, tighten the new fixing bolts to 25 Nm.
Features of Y20DTH/Y22DTR engines
Note: The water pump on these engines is driven by a multi-ribbed belt.
11. Drain the coolant (see Section 3).
12. Remove a reception pipe of system of release of the fulfilled gases (see chapter 4).
13. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts and remove the multirib belt (see chapter 2).
14. Having unscrewed a fixing bolt, separate a branch pipe of system of cooling from a forward support of the engine.
15. Remove the engine cover (see chapter 2) and top air intake.
16. Remove the air cleaner (see chapter 4).
17. Remove the top hose of the cooling system.
18. Separate 2 fuel lines from a cover of a head of cylinders and take them aside.
19. Hang the power unit with a lifting device / hoist (you will need to lift the power unit to remove the bolts), remove the right engine mount, and the bracket for mounting the mount to the cylinder block (see chapter 2).
20. Remove the water pump pulley, unscrew the three mounting bolts and remove the water pump housing.
21. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. Don't forget to replace the water pump o-ring.
Special for Z32SE engine
Note: The water pump on this engine is driven by a multi-ribbed belt.
22. Remove the air cleaner (see chapter 4).
23. Turn out 3 bolts of fastening of a pulley of the water pump.
24. Remove the multirib belt (see chapter 2).
25. Remove the water pump pulley and multi-ribbed belt idler (see chapter 2).
26. Turn out 5 bolts and remove a forward cover of a gear belt (see chapter 2).
27. Turn out 3 fixing bolts and remove the water pump.
Attention! When removing the pump, some coolant may spill. Make sure that coolant does not get on the toothed belt!
28. Installation is made in the reverse order of removal. Before installing the water pump pulley, lubricate the bolts of its fastening with a fixing compound.
