Removal
1. Depressurize the fuel system (see Chapter 8).
2. Remove the heater unit (see Chapter 5).
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Disconnect the wiring from the fuel injector (see illustration).

5. Unscrew the screw (size TX 20) secure the fuel injector holder to the top of the throttle body, remove the holder and lift the injector (see illustration). Remove and discard the O-rings.

Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, pay attention to the following:
- a) Always replace both O-rings; apply grease to make the injector easier to install (see illustration).
- b) Install the injector so that the wiring clamp is connected to the rear of the vehicle; place the edge of the holder securely into the groove on the top of the nozzle.
- c) Apply a few drops of locking compound to the screw threads, then carefully tighten it to the specified tightening torque Specifications.
- d) Turn on the ignition and check carefully for fuel leaks; if any signs of a leak are detected, the problem must be corrected before the engine is started.
