1. The rubber parts of the shock absorber upper mount can be replaced without removing the shock absorber as follows. Please note that on models with a single overhead camshaft (SOHC), due to the design of the rear suspension, both shock absorbers cannot be removed at the same time.
2. Proceed as described in points 2-4 Chapter 14.
3. Lightly jack up the rear of the vehicle and squeeze the shock absorber by hand just enough to dislodge its upper mount from the body.
4. Remove the rubber part of the mount from the top of the shock absorber.
5. Install new rubber pads in reverse order of removal.
6. On models with manual rear suspension adjustment, pressurize the system to 0.8 bar.
