- Brake fluid is poisonous. In no case do not suck it with your mouth through a hose!
- Brake fluid is aggressive and must not come into contact with painted parts of the body. If this happens, immediately flush the area with plenty of water.
- Brake fluid is hygroscopic, i.e. absorbs moisture from the air. Therefore, it should be stored only in hermetically sealed containers.
- Used brake fluid must not be refilled into the brake system. When bleeding the system, also use only fresh brake fluid.
- Brake fluid grade: FMVSS 571, 116 DOT-4 or SAE J 1703.
- Brake fluid must not come into contact with mineral oils. Even a small amount of mineral oil renders the brake fluid unusable as it such fluid leads to failure of the brake system.
- Brake fluid should be changed once a year, regardless of mileage. It is advisable to replace the fluid after the winter season.
